PHRASAL VERBS

ఇంగ్లిష్‌ భాషపై పట్టు సాధించాలంటే Phrasal verbs    తెలుసుకుంటూ ఉండాలి. ఈ వారం రెండు వ్యక్తీకరణలను పరిచయం చేస్తూ, వాటిని సంభాషణల్లో ఎలా ఉపయోగించ వచ్చో ఉదాహరణలతో ఇస్తున్నాం. వీటిని  సంభాషణల్లో ప్రయోగించడానికి ప్రయత్నించండి.
Sekhar: Hi, friend, how are you getting on? Long time since we met (హాయ్‌ మిత్రమా, ఎలా ఉన్నావు? కలుసుకుని చాలా రోజులైంది).
Jayaram: That is true. I have been busy all these days with something or the other(అది నిజమే. నేను ఈమధ్య ఏదో ఒకదానితో తీరిక లేకుండా ఉన్నాను).

Sekhar: You know Suryarao, I think. He gave the official a back handler so that he may succeed in getting him a job. But the official was uncorrupt and he did not accept the bribe (సూర్యారావు నీకు తెలుసనుకుంటా. అతను ఒక ఆఫీసర్‌కు దొంగతనంగా డబ్బు చెల్లించి ఉద్యోగం పొందాలనుకున్నాడు. కానీ, ఆ ఆఫీసర్‌ చాలా నిజాయతీపరుడు. సూర్యారావు ఇచ్చిన లంచాన్ని అతను స్వీకరించలేదు).
Jayaram: I know what he has done. He set up a booby trap for the official so that he may lose his life (నాకు తెలుసు వాడేం చేశాడో. అతను ఆ ఆఫీసర్‌కు ఒక పేలుడు పదార్థాన్ని పెట్టి చంపాలని చూశాడు).

Sekhar: Suryarao is a real villain. He will go to any extent to get the job and be in it (సూర్యారావు నిజమైన దుర్మార్గుడు. అతను ఎంతకైనా తెగిస్తాడు, ఆ ఉద్యోగాన్ని పొందేందుకు).
Jayaram: That is the trouble with Suryarao. He always thinks of himself and never allows anyone to deprive him of his chances (అదే సూర్యారావుతో వచ్చిన చిక్కు. అతనెప్పుడూ తన గురించే ఆలోచిస్తాడు, ఇతరులు తన అవకాశాన్ని దక్కించుకోకుండా చూస్తాడు).

Sekhar: He is very selfish (అతను చాలా స్వార్థపరుడు).
Jayaram: He always scotches the plan and never allows anyone to come near him. He is very selfish and does not bother about the others (అతనెప్పుడూ తన పథకాన్ని ఎవరూ పాడు చేయకుండా చూసుకుంటాడు. చాలా స్వార్థపరుడు. ఇతరుల గురించి ఆలోచించడు).
