The Indian Army marked 40 years since the Siachen glacier came under decisive Indian control four decades ago through Operation Meghdoot. Under ‘Operation Meghdoot’, the Army gained full control over the region on April 13, 1984. 

Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee created history by smacking six sixes in an over in a T20I. Dipendra scripted the achievement in the last over against Qatar in Nepal's ACC Men's Premier Cup match on 13 April 2024. 

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) published the 2024 edition of the 'Global Trade Outlook and Statistics report'. According to this, India has become the world's fourth-largest exporter of digitally delivered services. 

Senior bureaucrat Vandita Kaul was appointed as the Secretary, Department of Posts. Kaul is a 1989-batch Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer.
