Jharkhand governor CP Radhakrishnan was given additional responsibility as the in-charge governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry on 19 March 2024. Radhakrishnan was a two-time Member of Parliament (MP) from Coimbatore as a BJP candidate. He assumed the governorship of Jharkhand in 2023.

Indian cueist Pankaj Advani (38) was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the World Billiards Museum in Shangrao City in China. In November 2023 Pankaj won his 26th IBSF (the International Billiards and Snooker Federation) title. Of this 18 are billiards and 8 are snooker titles.

The Indian Army has raised a new technology unit named Signals Technology Evaluation and Adaptation Group (STEAG). This will undertake research and evaluation of futuristic communication technologies for military purposes. STEAG will conduct research and evaluation of technologies like 6G, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and quantum computing.

The 10th edition of the Joint Military Exercise ‘LAMITIYE-2024’ between the Indian Army and Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) began in Seychelles on 18 March 2024. This exercise will conclude on 27 March 2024.
l ‘LAMITIYE’ meaning ‘Friendship’ in the Creole language. This is a biennial training event and has been conducted in Seychelles since 2001.
